  It's hard to get into the Fall spirit in Texas when the weather is hot and dry and the leaves on the trees are turning brown and falling off instead of turning beautiful colors. I wanted to make a Fall lariat wreath and add a bright red boot, and about the time I was creating it, I think I ushered in the season, because the nights stared turning cooler! I chose a lime green used lariat for this project. I wrapped the lariat on one side with green wire so I would have a place to stick foliage. I stuck in Fall foliage. Don't go any further and you have a nice simple Fall wreath. I experimented by attaching a Halloween bow, but decided to leave it off. I cut out a boot shape from plywood and spray painted it red. I drilled a hole in the middle and attached a 2 3/8" concho I had on hand. I attached the boot to the lariat with a hot glue gun. It's easy to make a wreath with a lariat. Let your imagination and creativity propel you to success!

  Here is an easy way to decorate western style for Fall. You may have an old saddle tree you could use or find one at a flea market. Or you may purchase our saddle tree  here . This decor would make an excellent table center piece, or place on an entry table, shelf, mantle, or porch. I put a piece of dry foam for floral arrangements underneath the saddle tree. You may need to trim it to fit and spray paint it black or brown. Then just add Fall foliage. Easy right? You need easy for the holidays. Enjoy!

Here are a few things I put together for Western Fall Décor Ideas! These Wood slices were cut from a downed tree on our property. They were in the shed drying out for a couple of years. You can sand and seal and use them for a variety of things. I didn't sand these since I will be using them for another project. Wood Slice Centerpiece - I made a center piece with fall foliage in a horse pitcher, a ceramic Halloween pumpkin and fall leaves and gourds all placed on the wood slices. Lariat Wreath - Take a lariat and zip tie it at the top, wire on a bow and insert fall foliage. Easy! Horseshoe Wreath - I took a 16" grapevine wreath and cut the top off with a saw to make a horseshoe shape. I tied the ends at the top with brown wire just to keep it from coming apart, but it held its shape very well without it. I stuck in foliage and wired on a bow. Here are some ways to use our Lariat Baskets for Western Style Holiday Décor. Place Autumn branches, pine cones and twig balls in a basket and add a jute bow for Fall or Thanksgiving décor. For a rustic Christmas add pine branches, berry branches, pine cones, twig balls and an antler to a lariat basket. Instead of a burlap bow on the outside, I made a big bow tied with wire and placed it inside the basket. Add pine cones and greenery or fruit, nuts and snacks for a great gift basket. Make a Lucky Christmas Basket by adding one of our horseshoes. You could add a Cross Nail to a basket. Paint it, rust it or leave it natural. I'm sure you can come up with many ideas of your own. Try it!

This was super easy! I put a zip tie on the top to hold the rope together and left enough room to slide in fall foliage. A burlap bow and deer antler were attached with wire. Here's an easy Fall Arrangement to make. I had the rectangle basket just sitting there empty waiting for something to do. I set in a $1.99 pumpkin from the grocery store, stuck in the same fall foliage and burlap bow. Have fun!

Are you ready for Fall? Me too! Especially after a summer of Texas heat. This will get you in the mood for Autumn crafts. I painted the Cast Iron Horseshoe and wove leather lacing through the holes and up to tie in a knot. Fall foliage and chili peppers from the craft store were glued to the horseshoe with super glue. I added a little leather and beads at the bottom. This project would be fun for kids too!
